Kai Kummer, PhD

Principal Investigator

Kai is a principal investigator at the Institute of Physiology, Medical University of Innsbruck. His main research interests are plastic changes in the mesocorticolimbic system during the chronification of pain and addiction formation.

Ilaria Sanvido, MSc

PhD Student

Ilaria joined our team this year as a PhD student. She will investigate the role silent Kv subunits on neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. For this she will use different electrophysiological and molecular techniques.

Marie Edenhofer, MSc

PhD Student

Marie is a third year PhD student investigating the role of parvalbumin-positive neurons in the basal forebrain during pain chronification. For this she uses a combination of in vitro patch clamp recordings together with different in vivo assays.
